Master Teacher Institute in Holocaust Education
History of the Holocaust
July 8-12, 2019
9:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Open to 6-12 grade teachers.
The course includes the origins of the Holocaust, victim groups, bystanders and rescuers, Holocaust memory, understanding camps and ghettos, and using testimonies in the classroom and pedagogical strategies.
Educational Materials, Professional Development Credits and Lunch provided.
Guest Lecturer: James E. Young, Distinguished University Professor Emeritus, University of Massachusetts, is one of the foremost authorities on memorials.
