Security Statement

The Bildner Center is taking the following safety precautions at our events. We have met with Rutgers University Police Department to develop a security plan for Center events and the upcoming Rutgers Jewish Film Festival. The responsibilities of the Rutgers Police Department extend far beyond campus and include providing dispatch for New Brunswick, Highland Park, and several other municipalities in Middlesex County, as well as monitoring social media.

At the film festival, there will be police presence both in the theater and in the parking lot every day of the festival. North Brunswick police have also been notified of our event. The Rutgers Police Department is carefully monitoring the security situation on the state and local levels and we have been assured that there is currently no elevated threat to New Jersey. We are prepared to make adjustments as needed going forward. Our community’s safety is our top priority.
